Serving Ukraine Through Medical Care and Compassion
Living Stones Missions served alongside Holy Trinity Church in Kharkov, bringing medical assistance, prayer, comfort, and the hope of Christ during a time of war.
Mission Overview
Crossing borders to serve people living in the shadow of war
The March–April 2023 Ukraine mission began with the team flying into Romania, crossing the border into Ukraine, and then driving across the country to Kharkov.
In Kharkov, Living Stones Missions served alongside Holy Trinity Church, led by Pastor Ilia Gerasim. The team established medical clinics at several locations, providing basic medical assistance, prayer, comfort, and personal encouragement.
One clinic was held at a small church in a town that had been occupied by Russian forces and retaken five weeks before the team arrived. Many of those encountered were elderly people carrying the weight of war, loss, and uncertainty. The assignment became a profound expression of compassion and the love of Christ.
